Vibe Syndicate Management, which commenced live underwriting in mid-2014, announces the appointment of Clive Archer to head up its Casualty Treaty business. In the space of six months Vibe has established five lines of business, with the latest class focused on International Casualty Treaty on an excess of loss basis. Clive has a wealth of London market experience, most recently as the Senior Casualty Underwriter at Ace and prior to that with St Paul Re and ERC Frankona. Commenting on the appointment, Dinah Gately, CEO of Vibe said, “Clive’s extensive knowledge of Casualty Treaty and market standing brings the expertise the Agency is seeking to establish in specialist classes of business.’
Clive Archer also commented, ‘This is a great opportunity to build a successful book of business and to enhance Vibe’s fast developing product offerings.’
Vibe, previously RITC Syndicate Management, is backed by the George Soros Quantum Fund and Pine Brook Partners; prior to entering the live underwriting market, the Syndicate wrote in excess of £800m of RITC business.
